On writing

"Sometimes, when I get going, the writing goes pretty well," he says. "The avalanche effect, I guess."

"I know what you mean," I say. "It happened to me tonight. Sometimes I'll be writing a story and the writing will be good, but fairly straightforward. And then I get in The Zone, inspired, and it flows like nectar. I love that."

"Me too," he says.

"Everything just comes together nicely," I say.

Yes, it does.
